GRAND CONVERSATIONS
God spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and still speaks. 1. God had conversations with Himself, the Son, the Spirit, and angels before the foundation of the world.2. God had conversations with Adam, Eve and the serpent in the Garden of Eden, and with Cain shortly after that.3. God had conversations with Noah before and after the great flood.4. God had conversations with Job, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob/Israel, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, and many others after the dispersion at Babel, and during the time of the exodus.5. God spoke to the Israelites, in the wilderness journeys.6. God spoke to, and through, Kings and prophets of Israel in and around the promised land.7. God spoke through His Word, the Holy Scriptures, given to the chosen nation of Israel, and taught by Scribes and Rabbis.8. God the Word, became flesh and walked among men and spoke to thousands of people as Immanuel, “God with us.” 9. God the Father spoke to many people at His Son’s baptism, and at the transfiguration.10. Immanuel spoke to His disciples, face to face, almost everyday, for about three years leading up to the crucifixion.11. God spoke to His people at Pentecost, and still speaks to his church today by His Holy Spirit.12. God will speak to all people on the Day of the Lord, and all people who have lived on the earth down through all the ages will kneel and confess that Jesus is LORD. These are just some of the grand conversations that have happened, and that will happen until the consummation of the Kingdom. After that, we can only imagine what the conversations will be like, being face to face with our redeemer, in the new heaven and earth, forever. God spoke, and spoke, and spoke, and still speaks. God Almighty is a God who has been actively being involved in people's lives all throughout earth history. And He has a plan, to dwell with His people face to face in the Kingdom, that He will be sure to bring to fruition.
